Merry Christmas...a little late

Merry Christmas to all the blog readers. It has been a busy week for us so I am now just getting the time to write a entry. Unfortunately I wasn't able to spend Christmas with my family this year. I was very upset and sad about this. Brendan came down with a cold on Saturday and of course I caught it as well. He had me up most of the night on Saturday and Sunday he wasn't very happy. Our Christmas was on Sunday and I didn't want to get Tyler sick... so Brendan and I stayed home and tried to get some shut eye...but he had other plans for us. Last night he didn't sleep well either so I am working on 2 days without sleep...which isn't helping my cold. It sounded like my family had a great time at Christmas and I am sorry that I missed Tyler's first Christmas. Oh and I just realized Brendan missed his first Christmas too. Good thing they are too little to remember.

I will be updating the blog with Christmas morning pictures of the boys. It was a blast seeing Ethan's face light up when he saw all his presents. Good times!

Happy New Year to all and remember to be safe.

Winter weather sucks...

My dad and Dianne were supposed to fly out of South Bend today...and their flights got canceled. They will hopefully be able to get a flight out tomorrow to Phoenix. Let's hope and pray the weather stays calm enough for them to leave S.B. If all goes well they will be here tomorrow at 6 p.m. to meet their new grandsons Brendan and Tyler.

Tyler Michael

Neal and Laura have given birth to their son Tyler today. He was born at exactly 11 a.m. Weighing in at 4 lbs 12 oz 18 in long. He is absolutely beautiful. I was afraid to hold him he was so tiny and feels like nothing. I have a chucky monkey compared to Tyler.

Pictures will be posted soon by the proud daddy.

Isn't he cute?

I bought Brendan a new hat this weekend so he could keep his bald head warm this winter. For all the out of town blog readers it has been down to the 40's at night and only high 60s during the day. Brrrr! Very cold. At least we aren't getting the snow that Indiana is getting. I rather take the cold over snow.

Christmas Party

This weekend we went to Jason's Christmas Party at the Pointe Hilton. It was a black & white formal party. I went out and bought a new dress and Jason even got a new tie for the event. We had a great time and even won a weekend trip to the accounting firms condo in Prescott. It is a huge condo in the mountains up north. Of course, we can't go until after tax season but it will be awesome once we get to go. We stayed out way past our bed-time and missed the boys. But they were having a great time at Grandmas house.

Ethan says "Grandpa"

I am writing this post on the words of my mom...since I was not there to hear Ethan say Grandpa for the very first time yesterday. I tried to get him to say it again for me but he wouldn't have any part of it.

Why is it that kids always say DaDa and Grandpa before they say ma ma or grandma?? My mom was jealous that he said Grandpa before Grandma but he does say nana when he wants her attention. So he kind of called her name first...but she wants him to say Grandma.

The good news is though that he is gaining a list of vocabulary that he is using regularly. He will hoping be talking by the beginning of the year...I hope! Then he will be able to tell us what he wants instead of pointing at the air.

My baby boy is growing up so fast. Where has the last 21 months gone?
