Welcome Home Brendan!

Well here he is! Brendan Michael Christ was born August 28, 2008 at 11:11 AM. He was 6 lb 11 oz and 18" long. He's quite a mellow baby...the only time he cried was when he first came out and when he got his shots; otherwise he has been just content as can be.

Momma is doing well also, she is under doctor's orders to do NOTHING but take care of Brendan. Daddy is going to be busy taking care of her, the house, and Ethan as well. Good thing Grandma Jean is nearby to help out.

My second pregnancy...

is about to come to the end. I can't believe that 9 months have gone by already. I am having a hard time grasping the fact that I will have another baby in just 38.5 hours! This pregnancy was so different from being pregnant with Ethan. Never a moment of morning sickness but tons of uncomfortable moments. I will be happy to NEVER get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom again. Brendan must have been using my bladder as a trampoline.

The one thing I am going to miss the most is feeling him kick and move inside my belly. It is hard to explain in words the wonderful feeling and joy you get out of feeling your baby inside you. It is a special bond that a mother and child get to share. I wonder if I will ever be able to experience that feeling again? Will there be a 50/50 chance of having a girl? That is a question that can't be answered right now. But one day it will be answered.

Soon enough there will be 2 Jason Jr's running around my house creating a bunch of havoc. But I wouldn't trade it for anything (well I am saying that now. :-0) Jason is excited to have 2 hunting partners, fishing buddies, and football fans. They will be quite the trio. Good thing I have Emalia on my side. LOL

The next time I post it will be pictures of Brendan and my experience of having a c-section.

Brendan's Birthday

Will be August 28th! I will have a scheduled C-section this coming Thursday. We had the ultrasound today and it was amazing to see the difference between the 18th week and 38th week. The baby is so much better and hard to tell what everything is that you are looking at on the screen. Brendan is 7lbs 11 oz as of right now but he is in the breech position. He is stubborn just like his father! LOL Ok or maybe like his mother. The c-section is scheduled for 11 o'clock on Thursday. It is hard to believe that in just less than a week I will be a mother of 2 boys!

I have mixed emotions right now. I am nervous, scared, excited, and overwhelmed all at the same time. I'm sure I won't get any sleep on Wednesday night. My mind will be running through a thousand things at once.

We will post pictures as soon as we can.

Just one more day

One more day until we find out when we will be having this baby! The doctor will be going over the ultrasound results with us and coming up with a plan. I am hoping that the baby isn't 8 or 9 pounds. I think that I will die! :-) It's been a crazy week for us...Ethan was sick on Tuesday and I have been sick since then too. But Ethan is completely over it and happy as ever. Me...on the other hand feels like C-R-A-P! Not exactly the way I wanted to feel at 9 months pregnant and ready to pop. Oh and did I mention being sick when it is 109 degrees outside isn't any fun either.

I will update the blog with the results tomorrow. In the meantime everyone pray for a small baby!

Oh and the best news is that my mom comes home in 4 days. Can't wait for them to come home. We have missed them. Although Ethan has had a good time at Connie's. He LOVES playing with Kyle & Kodi. I am just happy he has been good for her.

Summer in Surprise

Jason and I decided to take our "Little Man" to the water park today. Here he is having fun in the water on a hot summer day in Arizona. I think he really enjoyed getting cooled off. He loved his new water shoes I bought him. He thought he was so cool.

Ok...

I'll be brave but ONLY because Laura posted a picture of her belly! Here is the lastest picture of me and Brendan. :-) Can you tell that I am ready to have this baby?

No make-up, nothing done to my hair! Boy, I must be looking like C-R-A-P...because several people at work told me that I didn't look like I felt well. Isn't that just nice of them?

Nice comfy Doggie

Ethan loves to lay on Emalia and use her as a couch. Thank goodness she doesn't care. She loves him.

Finally!

Here is a slideshow of Brendan's room. It is FINALLY done. Jason did a very nice job painting and putting together all the furniture. We still have a few more things to hang on the wall but I can't do that until Brendan is born.

It's been awhile...

Well I haven't posted in about a week or so... I guess not much to post about. I went to the doctor yesterday and there isn't much of a update. I have a ultrasound scheduled for Friday August 22nd and a appointment with the doctor right afterward. He will going over my options at that time...so Brendan might be here before the end of the month.

Also it has been a tough end of the week. As most of you know my mom has gone to New Zealand and Ethan has had to go to a different babysitter. This morning was not FUN dropping off Ethan. I guess he was screaming and crying and didn't want Dada to leave. Jason felt like crap just leaving him, but what are you going to do? Connie hasn't called me yet today so he must have settled down.

The Weekend

We had a pretty uneventful weekend. Saturday "The Girls" went shopping for baby stuff. It was FUN!!! We went to the Carter's store (yes, yet again...we love that store), Babies R Us, Motherhood Maternity, and Joanne's. Laura bought a very cute outfit and it really really makes her look pregnant. (You need to put a picture of yourself on your blog in that outfit, Laura). I came home to a house ransacked full of toys. Jason and Ethan had quite the fun day without Mommy. :-)

Sunday I spent the morning cleaning house, laundry, dishes and everything else a Mommy does. Every time I put something away of Ethan's he would run right behind me and take it out. Silly boy. Then we spent the afternoon at Jason's parents house. Ethan loved going outside and chasing the chickens/roosters. He thought it was pretty cool when they crowed. (not sure if that is the spelling for that). He was wore out by the time we got home. He went to bed and didn't make a peep.
