The Future of Notre Dame

Here are two "future" football players for Notre Dame. Don't they look so happy?!?! Brendan looks like he just got sacked and upset about a call.

We are all dressed up and watching the ND game...but not much to watch today. Wish I could say that they were winning. Maybe the second half will be much better.

3 weeks old

Brendan is 3 weeks old in this picture. He is bright eyed and happy. He has been more alert and hasn't been sleeping as much during the day. He is starting to show personality more and more each day. Thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Smith for his cute pj's. He looks good in blue...don't you think?

The Boys

Had to post this picture because I thought that it was just TOO CUTE. Ethan loves giving his little brother kisses. He is starting to get used to the fact that there are going to be TWO of them in the family. Just wait until his little cousin comes. But all 3 boys are going to be so much fun together...being so close in age.

Ethan in SHOCK!

This was Ethan's reaction to the Notre Dame win against Michigan. As you can see he was wearing a Michigan shirt that Grandpa & Grandma Smith bought him and Notre Dame shorts. He is still too young to decide which team he wants to win so we dressed him for a win from either team. Grandpa Smith kept telling him today that he needed to "roughin up" to play on the Michigan Football team. But Ethan might want to pick the winning team to play on. :0) I know the season is still early. Let's hope that they keep winning.

Notre Dame vs. Michigan

Boy was it a fun game day at The Smith household today! Notre Dame beat the pants off of Michigan and it was great to have our dad there to witness it with us in person. Normally we have to call him and talk crap about Michigan...thankfully ND played strong today and were able to beat them. What a exciting game! Neal kept trying to get dad to put on a Notre Dame shirt but he did not succeed. :-( Maybe next time.

Grandpa and Ethan having fun!

My dad trying to teach Ethan how to play catch...expect Blaze thinks that dad is teaching him how to play. Silly dog! All three of them had a good time today in the pool. The water felt wonderful in the HOT Arizona sun. I wish that I could go swimming...I need a tan!

Pool Time

Grandpa Smith and Ethan played in the pool today since the Marley Park Water Park was closed. Some of the equipment was broken and they didn't have the parts to fix it. So we had to play in the BIG pool. Thanks to Uncle Neal and Aunt Laura's pool. We wish they were there too!

Halloween

Here is silly Ethan. We were shopping at Joann Fabric Store and saw this funny looking hat. Ethan wanted to put it on and we all started laughing. He thought that he was funny. I don't think that Daddy will let us buy this for Ethan to wear Trick or Treating. :-)

Good Luck Megan

I know that Megan isn't due for a couple more weeks but I want to post this Good Luck message to her now. We will be thinking about you and wish that everything goes well. We can't wait to see pictures of Little Diego.

Love you!

Survivial

Well we survived the first week of having two children! Thank God for my mom though. If it wasn't for her I am not sure how we would have made it. We went to her house every day last week and she would take care of Ethan (who is sick so that equals cranky and she was sick with a cold as well) and I took care of Brendan. I am feeling much better and able to move around more. There is still some pain every once in a while but much better. Jason was excited because he was able to get some home cooking! My mom cooked dinner for us every night and it was Yummy. Finally Jason gets good food. :-)

Also my Dad flew in from Michigan on Saturday. We were all excited about his visit and it is finally here. We celebrated Jason's b-day on Saturday (yes a month late but a lot has happened since his b-day) and watched the first game of the season for Notre Dame. What a game it was...I didn't have faith in them winning but they pulled it off. My dad was so H-A-P-P-Y that they won. Yeah right!!!!!

Brendan had his first doctors appointment and he is back to his birth weight 6lbs 11 oz so that is good. He has been sleeping good for me! Unlike his brother who didn't let me sleep for the first week he was born. Brendan is a little bit of a lazy eater so I have finally figured out his eating habit. It again is nothing like Ethan. It's been amazing to see the big differences between the two boys. I am hoping that Brendan is my calm child. :-) Not a wild child like Ethan. LOL
